Programs we offer

Digital Literacy

To support digital literacy and bridge the technological divide, ��ѻ��ý and AT&T have partnered to provide digital literacy training classes targeted towards older adults in need of digital skills.

Personal enrichment

Experience learning through our non-credit classes, workshops, events and travel opportunities open to adults and youth. Classes are offered in a variety of topics for personal interest and skill-building opportunities. See our current offerings for a full list of available classes.

Online courses for personal enrichment

Community Education, in partnership with ed2go, also offers a wide variety of online courses for your personal enrichment!

Culinary

Instruction for varying skill levels of cooking and baking is offered through classes, workshops, dinners and events. Local chefs and food experts instruct participants in a variety of non-credit culinary opportunities and experiences.

Youth programs

With year-round choices of cooking, arts and crafts, study skills, test prep, science, technology, mathematics and more - there's bound to be a class for you! Week-long summer sessions of College For Kids at ��ѻ��ý also offer a wide variety of recreational, enrichment, and lifelong learning classes for students K-8.

Academy of Lifelong Learning

Citizens who are age 50 or greater are welcome to become members of this self-governing learning community sponsored by ��ѻ��ý. More than one dozen programs are offered each month, most offered for free with a paid membership.

Road Scholar/Elderhostel: Adventures in Lifelong Learning

��ѻ��ý has been a provider of programs in Springfield for this national program for more than 25 years and we welcome visitors from all over the U.S. who want to learn more about Abraham Lincoln's life in central Illinois and this year we are offering new programs on a variety of themes. Road Scholar is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to inspire adults to learn, discover and travel. The learning adventures engage expert instructors, provide extraordinary access, and stimulate discourse and friendship among people for whom learning is the journey of a lifetime.
